I refuse to patch until NRAAS mods are up to date. I can live without some of my SA mods but they’re really good about testing and updating their mods.
LOL i hear ya! i dont think ill be patching TIL my nraas mods are updated. but i cant play my game w/ zombies. theyre so annoying. i had a huge rant about this a few months back before i installed supernatural. its not an nraas mod but my story doesnt have zombies or anything zombie related on full moons. i dont think theres an update for it, ider who the hell made it. ugh.
some mods will definitely need to be updated before i play my game after patching or my stories will get all screwed up and i just cant have that.
Sometimes people have taken over or redone some of the older mods. Some of the modders at SimsAslyum have done that. I get most of my mods from there or from NRAAS these days.
most of my mods are nraas, mts + sa for sure. i just looked in my scripts folder, most are actually to be ok w/o being updated most likely. some will need it though, like nraas. i dont have many from sa so ill look into those. as the mods from mts, well, ill have to do some poking around but i typically will not do a patch w/o having at least some of my mods updated and ready to go.
i mean, i have those mods obvs for good reason and to have a better gameplay experience and i dont really want it tarnished just yet, lol!
nraas.wikispaces.com/St… Follow that for the NRAAS mods. :) Some scripting mods may not need to be updated, it really depends on how much has changed. It’s always safest to check with the creator.
ty for the link! i fear some of my mods may not be checkable with the creator since i know some of them have not been online in quite some time (years) or even play the game any more, which is why i fear the trial+error thing. its a pain, its what ive always done but its usually worth it in the long run.
Replace them with updated mods, not the old ones (unless the creator says they are compatible). I have a handy link list on my blog of some of the big ones :)
i have 84 mods currently in my mods > scripts folder. my main concerns are my mods from twallan (nraas) since theyre the most pertinent to my gameplay but idk when he will get to them being updated if they need to be. i do have a few that will most likely not need updating and would be ok. some of them will have to be trial and error - which is what i dont enjoy doing.
I hate EA’s meme-filled marketing gimmick.

Mods should always be removed when there’s a major patch.
right…but when placing them back into their folder, do they still function properly in-game is what i was asking. i need to know before i update cause if they do not work and are not compatible with patch 1.55; i will not update my game and will wait til they’re updated accordingly.
are the mods ok? i havent seen anything about the patch or the patch messing up the mods or gameplay.
You have so little CC, trust me you’ll be fine. Your game will probably run like you didn’t put CC in it.
its true and i also merge everything right when i get it basically. i had a ton of CC when i got sims 3 back in 2009 and then deleted it all when i started TS2 again. it does run like a champ, my PC was specifically built for gaming so thats not my concern, i just know The Sims games are finicky with space+content.
